Ghost Dance & Sacred Circle Art

The 9th grade art class created Native American inspired art pieces that reflected a culmination of what they had  learned about the historic events that lead to the Wounded Knee Massacre on the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.  The students learned the significance of the Ghost Dance and its link to the massacre.  They also learned the many meanings of the Sacred Circle, Dream Catchers, and the Medicine Wheel, which they incorporated into their art work.
